I grew up in suburban NJ and have struggled to find pizza that comes close to the pizza I knew growing up. For the 5 years my husband and I lived in Maryland, we never found anything that was good and knew when we moved to Charlottesville, we would probably struggle.
My husband actually spotted Fabio's the weekend we were moving in, and a couple weeks later we decided to order for delivery just to try it out. The pizza was outstanding. Is it exactly the pizza I knew growing up? No, but it's pretty damn close.
We have also ordered the Sicilian which was SO good and way more reasonably priced than I had ever had anywhere else. We love Fabio's pizza and it is the only place we will ever order from! -

Couldn't figure out what I wanted to eat but I knew I wanted pizza. I'm not from Charlottesville so when I searched for the best pizza spots, Fabio's was 3. Based on prices compared to the other two, I went with Fabio's.
Upon arriving I can tell this place was pretty popular. I ordered a medium NY style pizza with pepperoni and sausage and a steak and cheese combo.
The steak and cheese is surprisingly good. It was extremely hot on the inside so be careful when you bite into it. The flavors were good, my only issue was the bread was soggy I hate soggy bread so less juices when placing the meat onto the bread.
The pizza was ok. No different than any other NY style pizza place. I honestly think I could use more flavoring. My date on the other hand thought it was great.
All and all, if I'm in Charlottesville, I will probably eat here again. -

Ordered a grilled chicken salad and a 5 topping Sicilian pizza.
Salad was large enough for two people. Unfortunately, it had too many brown pieces of lettuce for me to eat it. The chicken in it was tasty but the ranch dressing was gross!
The pizza had fresh toppings but was very bland. It was our first time here and I'm not sure we'll return.
Overall, I'm disappointed for $23 I thought it would be better. I would've appreciated fresh salad. -

Three words: Cheesy, melty, gooey. Did I spell gooey right? Well, you know what I'm trying to say. The subs are delicious, hot, fresh and generous. Only thing is when you are getting takeout, like we often do, your sub can get a tad soggy on the bottom with all those juices running loose if you have a long ride home, but still very yummy when you do get it unwrapped and eaten. The pizzas are way, way better than the two most popular pizza chains and a little more expensive yes, but they have a huge pile of toppings while the two largest pizza chains are now mostly bread with sauce and a scant scattering of toppings, more like focaccia than pizza. But Fabios is making REAL pizzas with fat dose of fresh toppings. The wings are also excellent as is the cheesecake.
